The Black Hills

Take a scenic drive on the Needles Highway. Book a cave tour in Wind Cave National Park & visit the Native American Cultural Center. This is a great place to see Indigenous artwork.

Wyoming

I highly recommend visiting the Devils Tower. Then hit the Tower Trail, which loops the base of the rock. For evening, find overnight accommodation in Jackson Hole.

Grand Teton National Park

Once in Grand Teton take a hiking trail to Jenny Lake. Next drive to Mormon Row on Highway 191 in the park, and on your way north be sure to stop at the Snake River Overlook.

Drive through Bozeman Montana to Yellowstone and see the geyser basins. Visit the Grand Prismatic Spring and the Excelsior Geyser Crater. Then head to West Yellowstone.

Yellowstone National Park

Stay under the stars in Yellowstone Under Canvas. Visit Mammoth Hot Springs & continue on to the North Entrance of the park.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park

This park has scenic drives and great wildlife viewing! There's little traffic, and you'll have a lot of wildlife sightings and iconic views completely to yourself.

Make your way across North Dakota to Fargo. Stop at museums in Jamestown. Expect to see buffalo and stunning views on one of the best cross-country road trips in the US.
