Destinations

Listed below are all the countries/regions I have traveled to and written about on this site. You'll see each country represented on the map below (which you can click on!), or you can scroll down and click on an image to be taken to a page with more info about that destination and links to everything I've written about it.

Note: Countries filled in in blue are ones I've visited and written about; countries that are green are ones I've visited but not published anything about.

Happy exploring!

  1. This is a great list, you have been to some amazing places and were one of the inspiring factors in making my blog and travelling… I am slowly catching up on this list!! 😛

    Hi Amanda,

I’m really enjoying reading your blog – so inspiring! I’m based in Auckland and would be more than happy to host you when you come back 😀

Thanks so much for the offer, Sarah! I might indeed take you up on that!

Hi! I enjoy reading your website and that you give a different perspective of traveling and that it doesn’t have to be long term travel. Your post about the infinity scarves with the secret pocket was a hit! I was able to find them on Etsy, and they were great!

Good to hear, Sara! Glad you found my site!

Love the map (and the site)! Could you tell me what software/plugin you used for the map please? Would love to create something similar on our site.
    Thanks very much 🙂

I use a paid-for plugin called Interactive World Maps by Code Canyon.

Thanks very much – looks very cool 🙂

    The page loos so awesome,
My i advise to you for the extraordinary travel, go beyond your experience to see the real wonders of world creations, I mean AFRICA especial Tanzania where the heart of Africa wilderness IS.

Great meeting in Thailand! I’ve heard from three people I met at the Elephant Nature Center. That was a lot of fun and the most interesting group. All gathered together to scoop poop, cut corn stalks, lug banana logs, and wash melons. Not a bad life for the Elephants!

    Safe & Fun travels,
    Bill

It was great meeting you too, Bill! Stay tuned, because I’ve got lots of photos and video from ENP that I’ll be sharing in another month or so!

How did you do that map of where you traveled? Nifty.

what a nice way to represent all of your posts into nice, neat little packages! it looks super awesome! would love to do something like this one day, if, of course, you don’t mind! 🙂

Nice pages. Fun, well written, and beautiful photos. Although we are American/Canadians we now live is Switzerland. Our goal is to see most of Europe in the next few years. I am in the early stages of planning a trip to Romania. My kids are 6 and 8 so I am convincing them we are chasing the legend of Dracula. A theme trip. it should be fun. However, I really want to make it to the Merry Cemetery. If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get to that little town?

That would be a very fun trip! I really loved Romania, and definitely would suggest it as a destination!

As for Merry Cemetery, I visited while on a tour of Eastern Europe with Intrepid Travel. We stayed at a guest house in a little town called Vadu Izei, and then took a guided day tour of the Maramures region from there, which included a stop in Sapanta. If you were going to do it on your own, I would suggest renting a car, and then you could have the freedom to go wherever you’d like! Otherwise, there might be some tour companies you could book through, though I don’t know much about that option unfortunately.

I agree with all the comments above – this looks really fab – the pictures actually give a real single image snapshot of that country!! While i’m not one to copy, I ‘d love to try something similar on my site at some point. Keep up the good work.

Thanks! Feel free to interpret the idea for yourself if you’d like; I won’t get angry!

Nice page and love the way you have made these banners of individual destinations. I think its very creative. I hope to see India soon on this page.

Thank you, I’m really glad you like it! And yes, perhaps one day India will be on here!

I love the design of your website. It’s so clean and unique pictures…something fresh. I see you don’t have India in list yet. Hope you add it soon. Keep up the good work.
