Traveling Closer to Home

 

I have lots of fond memories of my home — and a lot of them have to do with the outdoors. I grew up swimming in ponds, climbing trees, playing in mud, and keeping worms as pets. I’ve always been a bit of an outdoor girl, even if you can’t tell it now.

Recently, when I spent a long weekend at home, I decided to take a stroll around my yard, snapping some photos that remind me of being a kid again. It’s not travel in a typical sense, but sometimes I think it’s just as important to appreciate the near as is it to explore the far.
