Each Saturday from now on, I’ll be sharing a photo with you from my travels around the world.
This week, the photo comes from Ottawa, Canada.
In mid-May, I headed up to Canada’s capital for a few days to attend the tail end of the Canadian Tulip Festival. During this annual celebration of spring and Ottawa’s tie to the Netherlands, hundreds of thousands of tulip bulbs are planted all around the city. Most of the colorful blooms are found in tulip beds around Dows Lake. This particular bed of translucent pink tulips particularly caught my eye — I have never seen tulips that looked like this before!
