Each Saturday from now on, I’ll be sharing a photo with you from my travels around the world.
This week, the photo comes from New York City.
In light of all the violence that’s taken place in my home country this week, I felt like this simple photo — along with some John Lennon lyrics — was appropriate for this weekend. The image is not a special one — just the standard shot of the Lennon tribute at Strawberry Fields in NYC’s Central Park. The message of this memorial, though, is a very special one, and is one I hope we can all keep in mind.
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…

Soothing capture. May peace be with all.

Thank you, Arti. Have a great weekend.
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace
You, you may say
I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world
You, you may say
I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

Lyrics to make you think, eh?
Strawberry Fields is my favorite spot in all of Manhattan. Even though it’s a popular place for tourists to visit, it’s where I go for quiet time

It’s a peaceful place, even if there are always a lot of people around taking photos. I’ve gone there every time I’ve visited NYC so far!
