Each Saturday from now on, I’ll be sharing a photo with you from my travels around the world.
This week, the photo comes from Split, Croatia.
This city on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast wasn’t really one I was looking forward to visiting. I had heard reports of it being crowded and dirty and just a bit meh. But the Split I experienced was far from “meh.” In fact, it was amazing! After exploring Diocletian’s Palace, climbing to the top of a bell tower, eating some delicious seafood, and enjoying a walk along the esplanade, I headed up Marjan Hill to capture this view out over Split. Talk about gorgeous, especially with the mountains in the background.

Thanks, Arti! It was quite a sweaty trek up to that viewpoint, but SO worth it!
Great view! Love the three curves- water, roofs, and mountains.

It certainly is a good view, isn’t it?
I swear, I’d never heard of Croatia in my life until a year or two ago but I’ve definitely added it to my list of places to go. So beautiful! I’ll have to remember this vantage point for when I one day go there! Love your blog, can’t wait for the next post!

Definitely keep this viewpoint in mind if you’re ever in Split! (And thanks for reading!
)
I’ve actually already read some good things about Split, and this picture only seems to confirm them:)

I’m just wondering: I you weren’t looking forward to visiting Split, why did you go there?:)

It was actually the end point of a Balkans tour I was on. I wasn’t planning to visit Croatia at all this summer (I’ve heard it’s much better in the spring and fall!), and Split had therefore never been in my original plans!
I would definitely recommend it now!
Nice shot, I like the color of the buildings and houses roof.Already shared it on my facebook account.
Thanks, Richard!
What a view! Never been to Split, but definitely want to now! I love Croatia, and all of the Balkans actually.
