Today’s photo was taken at Milford Sound — New Zealand’s top tourist attraction. I was lucky enough to visit this famous fjord on a beautifully sunny day in spring, when the peaks still had a light dusting of snow on them. The peak at the center of this photo is Mitre Peak, the most iconic feature of Milford Sound.

    • Ooo, but those are interesting clouds! I had clouds (legit clouds) and rain when I went to Doubtful Sound. Though, I’ll admit that it was still very, very beautiful.

      • I had nothing but sunshine and really warm weather on Doubtful. In fact, the guy captaining the boat added an hour to our tour and took us further out into the ocean so we’d have a nicer look back. It was pretty cool!

      • Although looking at the photos it seems like we had lots of cloud, there wasn’t a drop of rain and the boat itself was always in sunshine.
