To all my American readers, followers and friends — Happy Independence Day!
The 4th of July is always a fun holiday, filled with cook-outs, swimming pools, family time, and, of course, fireworks!
I’m not going to bore you today with a real post, because you’re probably too full of barbecued meat products and beer to care anyway. So, instead, I will leave you with some pretty pictures of fireworks that I took the other night:
Happy 4th of July! How are YOU celebrating this year?

Thanks Vi! I love fireworks, and was really glad to finally capture some good shots of them this year!
Had a great 4th and from these pictures it looks like you did too! Very nice pictures.

Thank you Debbie! And yes, I had a very nice holiday weekend.
Great photos Amanda! My favourite is the blue ones with red in the middle – very patriotic =)

Thanks, Toni! And the blues ones are my favorite, too!
Those photos are amazing! How did you catch such precise shots of the fireworks?
Super impressed, how was the show overall?

Thanks, Annie! I actually cheated, and used the special “fireworks” setting on my camera. Then, it was just a matter of getting the timing right to catch them as they exploded! It took me quite a few of bad shots to get these good ones, but I love how these turned out.
The show itself was pretty standard, as it wasn’t in a big city or anything. But there was a military jazz band playing beforehand, and lots of families out celebrating at the park, so it was a lovely way to celebrate the holiday.
Great pics!
