To all my American readers, followers and friends — Happy Independence Day!

The 4th of July is always a fun holiday, filled with cook-outs, swimming pools, family time, and, of course, fireworks!

I’m not going to bore you today with a real post, because you’re probably too full of barbecued meat products and beer to care anyway. So, instead, I will leave you with some pretty pictures of fireworks that I took the other night:

Those photos are amazing! How did you catch such precise shots of the fireworks?

Super impressed, how was the show overall?

Thanks, Annie! I actually cheated, and used the special “fireworks” setting on my camera. Then, it was just a matter of getting the timing right to catch them as they exploded! It took me quite a few of bad shots to get these good ones, but I love how these turned out.

The show itself was pretty standard, as it wasn’t in a big city or anything. But there was a military jazz band playing beforehand, and lots of families out celebrating at the park, so it was a lovely way to celebrate the holiday. :)
