Ever since I was tall enough to ride my first roller coaster, I’ve been hooked. Sitting, standing, feet dangling, twisting, turning — I love them all. The bigger, faster, and scarier, the better. I’m an adrenaline junkie, what can I say?
It’s been a while since I’ve been to my favorite amusement park though: Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. The last time I made it out to “America’s Roller Coast” was probably eight or so years ago. (Unacceptable, I know.) So it was almost like visiting for the first time again when my boyfriend and I took a day to drive up to the park situated right on the shores of Lake Erie and get the adrenaline pumping.
Riding all of my old favorites and discovering some new favorites made me think back to my very first ride on a roller coaster, as well as all the memories I have from visiting Cedar Point annually as a kid. So, of course I had to write about it, making sure to throw in some tips for any would-be Ride Warriors, as well as my Top 5 picks at the park.
Cedar Point: Tops and Tips
Read about my very first roller coaster ride (on one of the biggest, meanest coasters in the world at the time), some fast facts about Cedar Point, my Top 5 picks of must-ride attractions, and also some practical tips for planning a visit to the park.
And, of course there are pictures, and a video. Check out our day at Cedar Point:
